The Afonso family emigrated to Australia from Portugal in 1980. Upon settling in Wodonga, John Afonso set himself up to become one of the finest tradesmen in the Albury Wodonga area, turning his hand to non-standard feature work in the fields of concreting, masonry, stonework, solid plastering, ceramic tiling and modern cement rendering.
With sons Pedro and David serving well groomed apprenticeships under the guidance of their father, they have now together established Afonso Building Solutions Pty Ltd - a privately owned and operated family building and development company which serves Albury, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Yarrawonga and surrounding areas.
Company Director Pedro Afonso began his Building career as a carpenter, and is now a qualified builder in both residential and commercial construction. David soon followed and obtained his qualification as a domestic builder, which has given the company improved diversification and the ability to expand.
